Here's some free advice. If you are on pole or outside pole at the start of a race or restart, you put it in high gear, hold the brakes and put your right foot to the floor! When the green drops take your foot off the brake pedal and you will be in the turn before others even know what happened.
I gave this advice to a guy I was racing with years ago when he was younger. He never missed a shift and would check out! I can't believe in 2026 with these big dollar teams and cars crew chiefs do not know this. It's fucking ridiculous!
